Horse Camp
Looking for something that will really make a difference in your childs life this summer vacation?
This week long horse camp has proven to do just that. The program is not only fun and offers great exercise; it teaches young folks the importance of nature, caring for animals and how to work together as a team; it encourages a sense of responsibility and a feeling of accomplishment; all valuable life lessons.
Our goal at Black Mountain Stables is to create an environment that allows all campers; from beginners to experienced riders; to learn more about the sport and the very important daily care of horses. The Campers are divided into two groups based on their riding ability. Each camper is assigned "their own" horse, to spend the week learning and bonding with. In addition to a daily riding lesson, campers will also learn about hippology; the study of horses. And of course, there will also be time for relaxing and enjoying some non-horse activities, such as arts and crafts, swimming and hiking.
To ensure a high quality program, we only be accept 8 campers, ages 8-12, per session. This means that space is very limited so be sure to reserve today! Camps run Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm for weeks of July 5th - 9th and July 12th-16th. Cost is $350.00 per week.
