Snowsports School

Choosing the right lesson at Black Mountain is simple. If your child is brand new to the slopes, start with Snowplay (ages 3–6) or the Children’s First-Time Beginner Package (ages 6–14). If they already ride a chairlift, the Children’s Skill Builder will help them progress to blue terrain.  Adults who are just starting out can join our First-Time Beginner Package, while intermediate or advanced skiers and riders will love the Adult Skill Builder and Adult Expert group lessons.

 

For even more flexibility and personalized attention, our Private Lessons let you focus on anything from building confidence on varied terrain to freestyle tricks and moguls—plus, you can add additional people to your private session at a discounted rate. Private lessons also get access to our Private Lesson Lane to skip the line at the chairlift!

We also offer special clinics and pop-ups for anyone looking to broaden their skills or simply meet new people on the mountain. Coffee and Clinic is a popular four or six-week series for the 50+ crowd, our Spring Special helps boost confidence in spring skiing conditions, and the Women’s & Non-Binary Skinning Group meets Sunday mornings to practice uphill travel in a social atmosphere. For a fun Friday evening out, the Friday Night Lights Special teaches you how to skin before joining in on the official Friday Night Lights.
